Poll Shows Fox News Is Losing Favor With Conservatives

(ThePatriotSource.com)- A new poll and TV ratings suggest that Republicans might be switching off from Fox News and turning to various other Republican and conservative-friendly news outlets.

Fox News, which was once the go-to channel for Republicans, has been losing favor among conservatives since prematurely calling Arizona for Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden early into election night, and that was cemented recently when anchor Tucker Carlson appeared to suggest in a TV segment that he doesn’t believe the president’s lawyers have evidence of widespread election fraud.

According to the Daily Caller, Fox News lost its position at the top of the daytime news show ratings last week, losing to “Morning Joe” on MSNBC. “Fox & Friends,” which has long been at the top, was beaten by the left-wing show by 0.24 million viewers.

The Caller also reported that in the first week after the election, Fox maintained over a million more viewers than CNN and MSNBC – so it’s not completely bad news. Yet.

A Morning Consult Survey performed a week after the election, however, gives the network cause for concert. It found that 54% of people who profess to be Republicans had a favorable view of the network, compared to 67% before the election.

Perhaps not surprising, given just how critical President Donald Trump has been about the network.

Amidst rumors that the president is considered starting a new network or considering buying out a rival network like Newsmax, he has slammed Fox repeatedly for its ratings.

“[Fox News] daytime ratings have completely collapsed,” he said on November 12.

“Weekend daytime even WORSE. Very sad to watch this happen, but they forgot what made them successful, what got them there,” he said. “They forgot the Golden Goose.”

Is this the start of the end for Fox News, or do they have time to turn this around?
