China Thinks We’re “Overreacting” To Coronavirus!

( – As people drop dead in the street and Chinese authorities literally weld doors shut to stop infected people leaving their apartments, Chinese state media has claimed the West is “overreacting” to the coronavirus.

An editorialpublished by the Global Times entitled, “Why the West is overreacting to coronavirus,” claimed that the West “leaves no stone unturned to mislead the world as it spreads negative, twisted falsehoods.”

Are those videos of people falling over in the street fake?

Or how about those videos of Chinese authorities welding doors shut and leaving people to die in their imposed quarantines?

If they’re fake, then they’re elaborate hoaxes!

The article continued:

“From the very inception of the outbreak of the novel coronavirus pneumonia (NCP) in Wuhan, Central China’s Hubei Province, the West – the so-called saviors of humanity and guardians of human rights – has shown its ugliest face to the world. They have acted out of their old habits as they demean China and its people. But China has taken swift, effective and successful measures to curb the outbreak of NCP. The Chinese government has spared no efforts in this regard, including quarantining cities and constructing a 1,000-bed hospital in just 10 days.”

While it is true that the Chinese government has taken swift action, it is also true that President Donald Trump, speaking at a rally in New Hampshire, actually told the world media that President Xi and the Chinese government were responding quickly. The president even expressed his belief that the outbreak will be stopped.

So much for demeaning China?

The Global Times cited a number of statements from the World Health Organization that paint a good picture of China’s efforts to control the outbreak in an attempt to say travel bans imposed by other countries are not necessary. However, a huge number of countries have already imposed travel bans, including Australia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahamas, El Salvador, Hong Kong, India, Israel, Iraq, and many more. The United States is yet to impose a travel ban, and yet Chinese state media continues to go after the United States as if they have disrespected the Communist Party of China.

Who are they trying to kid?

While Chinese media tries to downplay the problem, the Chinese government is spraying bleach on public streets to reduce the spread of the infection. The death toll has also reached more than 1,000. There has been one fatality recorded outside of China, along with almost 400 cases of infection.

Are countries imposing travel bans overreacting…or doing a good job of protecting their own citizens?
