Chamber of Commerce Will Back AOC’S Primary Challenger

(ThePatriotSource.Com)- Non-profit organization the United States Chamber of Commerce is reportedly set to back the primary challenger of New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Politico made the claim on Friday, in what could be a significant blow to the socialist congresswoman’s chances of being chosen to represent the Democrats come election time.

Michelle Caruso-Cabrera, a former anchor for CNBC and the main Democratic challenger of AOC, is expected to be endorsed by the Chamber of Commerce in coming weeks. Politico even claimed the group would raise money on behalf of the candidate, rallying entrepreneurs throughout Queens to get behind her and support her.

Businesses aren’t so much a fan of the high taxes proposed by AOC and her gang, huh?

According to the report, Cabrera has already raised more than $1 million in campaign funds since announcing in February, and currently has $800,000 available to start her campaign. That’s big!

The primary is coming up, too. Democrats will decide whether they want AOC to represent the party again on June 23, but it’s looking increasingly unlikely that the socialist congresswoman has it in the bag. In fact, a spokesperson for the Ocasio-Cortez team refused to comment when Politico reached out.

Cabrera met with officials from the Chamber of Commerce on several occasions this year and was also expected to speak at the group’s advocacy committee at the end of April, though with coronavirus restrictions in place, this has been postponed.

This isn’t the only endorsement she has under her belt, either. Democrats who reject the far-left talking points of AOC have been rallying behind the candidate, including NYC political strategists like Doug Schoen, Hank Sheinkopf, and E. O’Brien Murray. As political strategists, they must recognize that huge threat AOC and her ilk pose to the Democratic party.

AOC is prepared to put up a fight, though. The incumbent congresswoman took in around $5 million in donations in 2019 and her victory in 2018 was quite sizeable. Let’s see!
