Buttigieg Gives New Hampshire Speech In SPANISH

(ThePatriotSource.com) – Pete Buttigieg is the unlikely breakthrough in the Democratic primaries. Elizabeth Warren and Joe Biden are slipping to the bottom of the pile while this former Indiana mayor is now the main contender taking on socialist Bernie Sanders.

Celebrating his second-place position in the Hew Hampshire primary, Buttigieg took to the stage to announce that illegal immigrants who were brought to the country by their parents would be allowed to stay. Known as “Dreamers,” these illegal aliens have previously been protected by the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.

“We can say to a Dreamer, lying awake at night, questioning if this country is her own…this country is your country too,” he said, before beginning to speak in Spanish.

You can see it for yourself in the video below:

The move is a clear attempt to win over Latino voters, or any voter that cares about reversing President Trump’s effective immigration legislation. However, if reports from a former Buttigieg co-worker are to be believed, it’s all just an act.

A piece in Democracy Now published on Wednesday suggested that, as mayor of South Bend in Indiana, Buttigieg “did not respect black residents’ struggles.”

Yikes!

The report explained:

“But as the race moves on to South Carolina and Nevada, Buttigieg continues to poll extremely low with African-American voters. His own former constituents are condemning his treatment of the black community in South Bend during his time as mayor, calling out systemic racism in the police force.”

It continued, “During Buttigieg’s tenure, black residents were 4.3 times more likely to be arrested for possessing marijuana than white people.”

Maybe he’s trying to make up for his past failings?

Buttigieg posted a clip from his speech on Twitter, saying the election wasn’t just historic, but “urgent.”

“And tonight, we look forward knowing this is our one shot not just to end the era of Donald Trump, but to launch the era that must come next.”

He’s certainly got a knack for cooking up great word soup, hasn’t he?

What do you think – is Mayor Pete being honest, or is he just virtue signaling for votes?
