Biden Says He Didn’t Promise To Release SCOTUS List…Evidence Proves Otherwise

( Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden claimed this week that it would be absurd to release a list of people he would nominate to the Supreme Court if he ever became president, and even claimed that he had never previously promised to do it. The claim, however, is wrong – and evidence shows it.

On Sunday, Biden said that releasing a list would influence the decisions made by a judge and expose them to political attacks, and that his position has always been to “consult” congressional Democrats and Republicans to get their approval of a nominee.

“There’s a reason why no presidential candidate, other than Donald Trump, has ever done such a thing,” Biden said about releasing a list of potential nominees.

“If I win, I’ll make my choice for the Supreme Court not based on a partisan election campaign, but on what prior presidents have done, Republican and Democrats, and I’ve served with many of them,” Biden added.

However, in June, Biden admitted that he and his campaign was working on a list of potential Supreme Court nominees. He said at the time that he was putting together a list that consists only of African American women, in an attempt to win over the ultra-progressive vote within the Democratic Party during the primaries.

The Associated Press reported on June 30 how the Biden team was creating a list of “Black female court picks” and that Biden said he was “not going to release that [the list] until we go further down the line in vetting them as well.”

Which one is it, Joe? You’re vetting female black supreme court picks, or you’re refusing to even consider potential nominees until a vacancy arises, in which you will consult with Democrats and Republicans to make a non-partisan decision?

Biden has doubled down on his lie, though. The former vice president said that we “can’t keep rewriting history, scrambling norms, ignoring our cherished system of checks and balances.”

“That includes the whole business of releasing a list of potential nominees that I would put forward,” he said. “They’re now saying, after Ruth Bader Ginsburg passed away, they said, ‘Biden should release his list.’ It’s no wonder the Trump campaign asked that I release the list only after she passed away. It’s a game for them.”

Which is yet another lie. Not only does he dismiss the idea of releasing a list as if he never promised to do it – when he did – he inaccurately claimed President Trump didn’t call for him to release a list sooner.

It doesn’t take much to find examples of the president calling on Biden to release a list. The president’s claim that Biden was refusing to release a list because they are “so extremely far left” was made earlier this month.

He even said it in June during a rally!

What is it with Joe Biden and so casually telling lies?
