Armed Antifa Extremist Cried “In Fetal Position” When Arrested

(ThePatriotSource.com)- An Antifa activist who was heavily armed cried in the fetal position when he was arrested by officers last week, according to several reports. A so-called “commander” of the far-left Democrat-supporting organization dropped to the ground and started crying when law enforcement officials stopped him and arrested him.

Matthew Banta, a 23-year-old white man, was arrested during a riot in the Wisconsin city of Green Bay. He stands accused of bringing fireworks, a flamethrower, and military-grade smoke grenades to a riot on Saturday night in downtown Green Bar.

The Green Bay Press-Gazette reported that at 9 p.m. on Saturday, reports suggested a “whole bunch of white people with sticks, baseball bats, and helmets” were seen heading “towards the police.” At the time, the police were attempting to break up an unlawful assembly in downtown Green Bay. Banta was seen with three other people at South Webster Avenue and East Walnut Street heading toward the conflict with police officers.

Banta was reportedly seen waving an Antifa flag and carrying bans. When the police arrived, however, the brave Antifa soldiers tried to run away.

According to police, Banta was known as “Commander Red” by his friends in Antifa, and was discovered with several weapons in his bag. Banta told officers that he was planning on attending the protest but wasn’t trying to start a riot.

The flamethrower was presumably for something else then…

A police officer who responded caught Banta, and said that he immediately “dropped into the fetal position and began crying.”

Just like a true commander!

Three other people who fled the scene were later arrested by officers as they tried to enter somebody’s home, and were not permitted to enter. The owner of the home told law enforcement that they didn’t know the three individuals.

So they got caught by the police, ran, then tried to illegally enter someone else’s home in order to avoid the same fate as their commander.

Banta’s claims that he wasn’t trying to start a riot aren’t just dubious because of the weapons he was carrying, but because he has been violent with police officers in the past. That’s not how peaceful protests go down.

WBAY-TV 2 reports that Banta is accused in Waupaca County of “pointing a loaded gun at a police officer and biting and kicking an officer during a protest earlier this month.”

The local station said he was charged with second-degree recklessly endangering safety as well as four other charges and posted a $10,000 bond. Maybe the reason he was crying is that his bond said he cannot have a dangerous weapon, only to be caught carrying several dangerous weapons on Saturday.
